Violence Breaks Out Near Pangala Cross
On Tuesday, around 40 YouTubers arrived in Dharmasthala to continue their coverage. A large crowd of villagers gathered near Pangala Cross, protesting what they described as “false narratives” being circulated online. A verbal confrontation soon escalated into physical violence. In the scuffle, three YouTubers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses claim mobile phones and cameras were damaged during the clash, with some incidents caught on video.
Villagers Demand Action
Hundreds of villagers have since gathered in front of the Dharmasthala police station, demanding legal action against the YouTubers. “False information is defaming our constituency. We demand justice,” said one protester. Police officials are currently trying to pacify the crowd while maintaining order in the area.
The situation remains tense as both the investigation and public outcry continue.
