It appears that Sandalwood is once again witnessing a wave of positivity. Renowned businessman Vijay Tata has recently announced his ambitious foray into the Kannada film industry, aiming to produce six films simultaneously. At a grand event attended by several prominent film personalities and political leaders, it was declared that Vijay Tata is committed to becoming a strong pillar for the Kannada film industry.
The official logo of Amrutha Cine Craft, his new production house, was launched by actor-director and Crazy Star V. Ravichandran, along with Roaring Star Sri Murali — adding a special touch to the occasion. True to the promise made on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima, the production house has now commenced work on two of the six planned films with a traditional script pooja ceremony.
Under Amrutha Cine Craft, two films have officially begun pre-production. Under Production No. 2, the first film will star Vinay Rajkumar — grandson of legendary actor Dr. Rajkumar — and will be directed by D.S.P. Verma. The script pooja was held recently to mark the beginning of this much-anticipated project.
The second film, under a different production number, will be directed by a female filmmaker, Manasa Sarath. The script pooja for this film was also performed, and both projects have now entered the initial phases of production. The team stated that the films are progressing at a rapid pace, and details regarding the official launch and muhurtha will be revealed soon.
According to Vijay Tata, success is guaranteed when films are made with a well-structured plan. “Every step in filmmaking requires meticulous preparation,” he emphasized. “Our team is working in a highly organized manner. Our objective is not just to make films, but to strategize marketing, plan optimal release windows, and tailor promotional campaigns based on the film’s content. We are also addressing the business side of things with thorough research.”
Vijay Tata further stated that their mission extends beyond producing new films — they aim to support incomplete film projects, encourage new directors and artists, and establish a distribution system for films under their banner. The production house also intends to assist other filmmakers in need, thereby playing an active and sustained role in the Kannada film industry.
With two production ventures now officially launched through script poojas, the Amrutha Cine Craft team is expected to announce further updates in the coming days.
