Speaking about the project, Varsha Bollamma said “I am originally from Karnataka. I have acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, and now for the first time, I am acting in a Kannada film. I am happy to work in my mother tongue. Mahan is based on farmers, and the director has aimed to show the struggles of their lives. I have watched P.C. Shekhar’s films earlier, and when he narrated the story of Mahan, I liked the social concern in it. I am glad to work with him and to be part of this film produced by Prakash Budduru, who also runs an educational institution. I am also a fan of Vijay Raghavendra, and I am happy to act alongside him in this film.”
The cast of Mahan includes Vijay Raghavendra, Radhika Narayan, Mitra, Namratha Gowda, and Varsha Bollamma.
