Toy Story 5 Official Teaser Trailer

The toys are back and have some new competition as Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios released the official teaser trailer for the sequel film Toy Story 5. View trailer below.

Fans are introduced to the new character Lilypad, a high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee (“Past Lives,” “The Morning Show,” “TRON: Ares”) that makes Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs exponentially harder when they have to go head to head with the all-new threat to playtime.

I still don’t know how I ultimately feel about Toy Story 5. Much like what I said about Toy Story 4, the conclusion of Toy Story 3 was effective and a perfect send off for all the characters, with the fourth installment, while being a solid Pixar movie, was still quite superfluous and felt more like an unnecessary epilogue to already concluded tale. This first look at the upcoming fifth Toy Story doesn’t show much, but show what the “toys” are going to be going up against….tablet technology. That idea will be interesting to see play out. However, I still have some reservations about this movie. But I am still looking forward to seeing this movie.
