Suram Movies, producer Jayaram Devasamudra has brought forth the film “Nidradevi Next Door”, directed by Surag and starring Praveer and Rishika in the lead roles. The film’s title track “Nidradevi Baa”, penned by Pavan Bhat, composed by Nakul Abhyankar, and sung by Shrilakshmi Belmanu, was recently released.
The song, which beautifully depicts the mother–son bond, features veteran actress Sudharani along with Master Sujay in key roles. From the moment of its release, the song has been receiving immense appreciation and high viewership. Following the launch, members of the film team shared their thoughts.
“This is the third production from our banner. When the director narrated the story and mentioned that Sudharani would play the mother’s role, I was delighted. What made it even more special was that my own son, Master Sujay, is also acting in it. Our film is releasing on September 12, and we seek everyone’s support,” said producer Jayaram Devasamudra.
Director Surag added, “Traditionally, it is said that fathers are closer to daughters and mothers to sons. Today, our film’s title track ‘Nidradevi Baa’—which captures the mother–son bond—has been released. Shrilakshmi Belmanu has rendered it beautifully. Sudharani and Master Sujay have performed wonderfully. The inspiration for this song came from the word ‘Nidradevi Baa’ that appears in the famous lullaby ‘Jo Jo Laali’ from Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s film. Our movie is releasing on September 12—watch and bless us.”
Sharing her experience, actress Sudharani said, “When the director narrated the story, I instantly liked the role. Often, what is narrated changes by the time it comes to screen—but Surag has brought the character exactly as narrated. The mother–son bonding song is excellent. Content-rich films always find audiences; Su From So was proof of that. I hope Nidradevi Next Door also achieves similar success.”
Master Sujay expressed, “Our whole family are admirers of Sudharani ma’am. Acting alongside her in this film is a great joy. The song ‘Nidradevi Baa’, composed by Nakul Abhyankar, has come out beautifully.”
Actress Rishika added, “Earlier, I acted with Sudharani ma’am in the film Julie. This is my second time sharing the screen with her, and it feels great. The song released today is lovely.”
At the event, Karave’s Praveen Shetty fondly recalled seeing Ambareesh and Sudharani during the function of the film Mannina Doni. He spoke about the hard work put in by his son, the film’s lead actor Praveer Shetty, and wished the team great success.
