Surya emphasized that air freighting bogies for at least two train sets is the only practical option to avoid a 30–45 day delay if shipped by sea. Highlighting the financial and operational costs of delay, he directed BMRCL officials to press CRRC to expedite supply. He also urged Deputy CM D K Shivakumar and BMRCL to act swiftly to arrange air shipment, pointing out that timely delivery would not only cut losses but also enhance commuter convenience and revenue.

The Yellow Line, spanning 19.15 km from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road (RV Road) to Bommasandra with 16 elevated stations, was inaugurated on 10 August 2025, with services starting the next day. Currently operating with only three train sets, the line sees trains every 25 minutes, running daily from 5 am to 11 pm (later start on Sundays). A fourth set is expected by mid-September, which should reduce intervals to about 20 minutes.

To manage swelling crowds, especially at the RV Road interchange station, BMRCL has introduced barricades and deployed additional security personnel. Commuters, however, continue to demand quicker interventions to reduce waiting times. Surya stressed that every day of delay means higher costs and growing inconvenience for thousands of passengers.
