The film ‘Tamate Lachchi’, produced and directed by K.S. Nagraj under the banner of Amoolya Movie Makers and presented by Dr. Ravish Shetty Baindoor, had its script pooja ceremony at the Balamuri Maha Ganapati Temple. The film is set against a rural backdrop. The event was attended by artistes and technicians, who extended their best wishes to the team. Coastal Kannadiga Dr. Ravish Shetty Baindoor was present as the chief guest.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Ravish Shetty noted that in recent times, not only is the environment being destroyed, but also the younger generation is losing concern and love for nature. He highlighted that certain traditions and customs are fading, while issues such as the struggles of earlier generations, atrocities against women, and caste discrimination still exist. He expressed happiness that senior artiste K.S. Nagraj has taken up these themes to portray them through cinema. He wished that ‘Tamate Lachchi’ would be completed without hurdles and win the appreciation of audiences.
Director and producer K.S. Nagraj, who has been active in the film industry for the past 25 years, said that ‘Tamate Lachchi’ will be made with quality and that the team is attempting something fresh this time. The film will feature a mix of senior and new artistes, as well as supporting actors.
The event was also attended by Surendra Shetty, State Vice President of Karnataka State Labour Council; Shailesh Poojari Kota, State President of the Hotel Division; Manikantha, State President of the Drivers’ Division; and others.
The story, screenplay and dialogues for the film are by Sayyad Ali. Music is composed by Arun Ramaraj. The cast includes Swathi, K.S. Nagraj, Shivakumar Aradhya, Sunitha Singh, Pushpa Nagraj, Mamata, Ma. Dhanush Kumar, Baby Amoolya and others.
