Due to red alert warnings and continuous heavy rain forecasts, holidays have been declared for schools and colleges in several Karnataka districts. In Dakshina Kannada, all schools have been shut under a red alert. Kodagu, under an orange alert, has also announced holidays for all educational institutions. Similar rain holidays have been declared in Shivamogga, while in Hassan district, schools in Sakaleshpur, Belur, and Alur taluks remain closed. Uttara Kannada has announced holidays for all schools and colleges. In Chikkamagaluru, the Deputy Commissioner has ordered holidays for institutions in Koppa, Sringeri, Mudigere, NR Pura, and Kalasa regions.
