Bengaluru is gearing up for the Gauri-Ganesha festival with grandeur, and this year a truly unique idol has taken center stage. Crafted entirely from American Diamonds, a dazzling six-foot-tall Ganesha idol has reached the city from Mumbai, leaving devotees awestruck with its magnificence and price tag.

The idol, in the form of Chamara Karna, was meticulously prepared by skilled artisans from Mumbai and Solapur over a span of 30 days. Commissioned by the Swastik Youth Association of Milk Colony, it marks the 40th year of their annual Ganesha festival celebrations. The shimmering creation comes at a remarkable cost of ₹12 lakh, making it one of the most expensive Ganesha idols in the region this year.

Adding to the festive spirit, the pavilion housing Lord Ganesha is equally spectacular. Inspired by the architecture of the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, the mandap is being constructed at a staggering cost of ₹30 lakh. Last year, the association had replicated the Kailasanath Temple, drawing massive crowds. This year too, organizers expect a large influx of devotees eager to witness the extraordinary idol and its majestic setting.
With Vinayaka Chaturthi just a couple of days away, chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Mangala Murti Morya” are already echoing through the city. For devotees, the glittering idol is not just a symbol of devotion but also a spectacle of craftsmanship and faith.
