Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced plans for a high-speed bullet train project that will connect four major southern cities—Hyderabad, Chennai, Amaravati, and Bengaluru. Speaking at the India Food Manufacturing Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam, he confirmed that a survey is currently underway to assess the proposed corridor.
The project aims to transform regional connectivity by linking a cluster of cities that collectively house over five crore people, making it one of the largest potential markets for high-speed rail in the world. The initiative is expected to boost trade, investment, and economic growth while reducing travel time between the participating states.
