The songs of the film Hikora, directed and acted by Neenasam Kitty and produced by Ratna Sridhar, were released recently.
The audio launch event was held with the participation of Karnataka Film Exhibitors Association President K.V. Chandrashekhar, Kannada Film Producers Association President Umesh Banakar, Karnataka Film Directors Association President N.R.K. Vishwanath, lyricist Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, producers Narasimha and Nagesh Kumar, director T.S. Venkatesh, Gopal, and actor Deepak. They released the songs and extended their wishes to the film team. Following the launch, members of the film team addressed the gathering.
Neenasam Kitty stated: “I am a student of Neenasam, where I learned acting. Producer Ratna and her husband Sridhar ran a mess at Neenasam. I grew up eating their food. Ratna Sridhar decided to produce this film just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Several challenges, including the pandemic, followed. The producers have now brought the film to the release stage. The songs composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi are being unveiled today. Thanks to those who released the songs. Everyone knows that Corona is a virus, and many antiviruses were developed to fight it. Hikora is also an antivirus. To know what the virus is, the film must be watched.”
Producer Ratna Sridhar said: “Actor Darshan had launched the film at the muhurtha. Neenasam student Sardar Satya acted in the film without charging any remuneration. Neenasam Kitty has directed the film and also played an important role. With the support of the film team and my family, the film has been completed. It will release soon. T.S. Venkatesh and friends are handling the distribution. We seek support from the audience.”
Music director Poornachandra Tejaswi said: “There are five songs in different styles in the film. Today, three songs have been released. Several noted singers have lent their voices. The songs have been released under our audio label.”
Lead actress Spandana Prasad said: “I am the heroine of this film. At this moment, I remember Puneeth Rajkumar. The words he told me became my inspiration to act in this film.”
Actor Sardar Satya said: “I owe Ratna for food. During my time at Neenasam, I used to eat by asking her for what I needed. One day, she asked me to act in this film and inquired about payment. I acted for just one rupee.”
Actress Lavanti, singer Prasanna Keshav, and several other team members were present at the press meet.
