The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala buried secrets case has continued excavation efforts at identified locations. On Tuesday, digging was conducted at the second marked point, but once again, no evidence or items of significance were recovered. With two previous spots yielding nothing, authorities are now preparing to excavate at a third location, hoping it may provide crucial leads.

A major development came as Pranav Mohanty, a senior investigating officer, is set to personally inspect a new site flagged by an anonymous complainant. This area is reportedly based on fresh intelligence gathered during the ongoing probe.
Meanwhile, the investigation has taken a twist with the name of a retired police officer emerging during the SIT’s interrogation of the anonymous whistleblower. According to sources, the complainant named several individuals, including a former officer who once served at a Mangaluru police outpost.
Taking the lead seriously, SIT officials have reportedly issued a notice to the retired officer, calling him for questioning. His role, if any, remains under scrutiny.
The SIT, which has been working on the case for several days now, continues to maintain tight security and secrecy around the investigation, while public curiosity and speculation grow around what secrets the Dharmasthala soil may eventually reveal.
