Singer and music composer Manasa Holla has set a new record by performing continuously for 12 hours on stage, singing 87 songs originally sung by legendary playback singer S. Janaki.
The event, titled “Manasagana Janakidhyana,” was held at the Prestige Khoday Centre for Performing Arts in Konanakunte. It was inaugurated by Vinay Guruji, Hema Prasad, Stephen Prayag, and advocate Narayanaswamy.

Accompanied by a 25-member orchestra led by tabla player Venugopal Raj, Manasa Holla performed the extensive live concert without a break, captivating both the audience and distinguished guests.
The event was attended by noted personalities including lyricist V. Nagendra Prasad, composer V. Manohar, and singer Chandrika Gururaj. The program, which began at 9:30 a.m. and concluded at 10:30 p.m., was conducted in three segments and witnessed an audience of around 3,000 people.
Manasa Holla’s determination to push her boundaries in music inspired the marathon performance, dedicated as a tribute to S. Janaki. A lifelong devotee of music, she described singing as her lifeblood, which motivated her to complete the 12-hour concert tirelessly.

Several well-known singers, including Rajesh Krishnan, Hemant, Ajay Warrior, Srinivas, Ramo, Mohan Krishna, Uday Ankola, Chinmay Atreya, Vihaan Arya, Santosh Dev, Damodar Naik, Kumar Gangothri, Kumaran Arya, Vishakh Nagalapur, Ramachandru, and Ravi Santu, joined her in performing duets.
Renowned drummer Sivamani, who arrived from Mumbai, gave a 20-minute drum performance on stage. Manasa’s rendition of the song “Shiva Shiva Ennada” from the film Hemavathi received a standing ovation from the audience.
