The song “Shuru Shuru” from the film Balaramana Dinagalu, directed by K. M. Chaitanya, has been released. The film comes 18 years after the release of the director’s earlier film Aa Dinagalu.
Balaramana Dinagalu is produced by Padmavathi Jayaram and Shreyas. Tiger Vinod Prabhakar plays the lead role, marking the 25th film of his career. Priya Anand is the female lead. The cast also includes Avinash, Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vinay Gowda, along with several senior and junior actors.
The song “Shuru Shuru” is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Lyrics are written by Jayant Kaikini. The song is sung by Sanchit Hegde and Punya. Director K. M. Chaitanya said that film promotion has begun with the release of the “Shuru Shuru” song. He clarified that Balaramana Dinagalu is not a sequel to Aa Dinagalu and that it is a fictional story. He recalled that after Aa Dinagalu, young director Karthik Subbaraj had requested to work as an assistant director, which later led to the film Jigarthanda, where Santhosh Narayanan was the music director.
Producers Shreyas and Padmavathi stated that they wanted to make a film in the style of Aa Dinagalu for Vinod Prabhakar and that Balaramana Dinagalu is a gangster-based film. They said that writing by Jayant Kaikini is challenging and that he has written for the film. Cinematographer H. C. Venu has shot various scenes, some of which have been used in the song. They added that Vinod Prabhakar and Priya Anand contributed to those scenes. The producers said they have made the film with interest and emphasized the importance of support.
Actor Vinod Prabhakar said that an audio company has paid the highest amount for the audio rights of Balaramana Dinagalu. He said that among his 25 films, this is the first time an audio deal has fetched such a high amount. He also said that his role in the film has come out well. Vinod added that the director gave him freedom to compose certain scenes, which he discussed with Priya Anand before performing them.
Actress Priya Anand said that after Raajakumara, this is her fifth Kannada film. She said that Puneeth Rajkumar was the reason she learned Kannada and that knowing the language helps while acting in scenes. She said she misses him and shared that Balaramana Dinagalu has turned out well.
Music director Santhosh Narayanan said that he has worked on around 1,000 films. He stated that “Shuru Shuru” would be among his top 10 songs. He also said that Jayant Kaikini has written the lyrics and that the film has come out well.
Producer Padmavathi Jayaram said she is happy to have made the film and expressed her intention to make bigger films in the future. She said the film is suitable for family viewing and that it has taken shape with everyone’s cooperation. She thanked all those involved. Producer Shreyas said that the film’s shooting has been completed. He said that T-Series has acquired the song rights of the film and paid an amount equivalent to the budget of another film. He added that more details about the film will be shared in the coming days.
Lyricist Jayant Kaikini said that crossword words have been used in the film. He described it as a film meant to be watched in theatres and said it was made with interest and involves a team of young talents. Actor Vinay Gowda said that he plays a character named Katthi in the film. He added that the release of the “Shuru Shuru” song marks the beginning of the film’s promotion.
