During Navaratri festival time, the song “Nammamma Savadatti Ellamma” from the movie “Marutha” was unveiled and a neatly cut trailer was also released after the media briefing on Wednesday evening.
Directed by the renowned filmmaker Dr. S. Narayan, starring Duniya Vijay, Shreyas Manju and Brinda Acharya in lead roles, and produced under the banner of Eesha Productions by K. Manju and Ramesh Yadav, the much-awaited film “Marutha” has this special song written and composed by S. Narayan himself.
Sung by Ananya Bhat, the song was released on the Jhankar Music YouTube channel during Navaratri. Actress Brinda Acharya has performed in the song. After the launch, the film team members shared their thoughts.
Director S. Narayan expressed condolences on the demise of veteran writer S.L. Bhyrappa, who made immense contributions to the literary world, and spoke about the progress of “Marutha.” He said, “Just like an engine is important for a train, our film also needed a very important role to be played by a key artist. That role has been portrayed by Duniya Vijay. Vijay has acted wonderfully. The performances of Shreyas Manju and Brinda Acharya are also very good. Our film further features a huge star cast including Tara, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Kalyani, Sharath Lohitashwa, Pramod Shetty, Sujay Shastri, and many senior artistes. Crazy Star Ravichandran has appeared in a guest role.
‘Marutha’ is a family entertainer that has everything the audience looks for. Not just that, it also carries a strong message for the youth. While social media has its uses, it poses greater dangers. Parents need to pay more attention to the younger generation in this regard. The song released today has also come out very well. Releasing this during Navaratri is special. The movie will hit theatres on October 31,” said director S. Narayan.
“Director S. Narayan’s discipline is an example for all. I have learned a lot from him while working on this film. Today’s released song is very melodious. During Navaratri, the director has gifted a devotional song to the people. With the cooperation of the entire team, the film has shaped up really well. We request everyone’s support for our movie releasing on October 31,” said actor Shreyas Manju.
Producer K. Manju said, “The true hero of a film is its producer. This is my third collaboration with S. Narayan and Duniya Vijay. Along with my friend Ramesh Yadav, we have produced this movie under the Eesha Productions banner. The director has chosen a story that conveys a strong social message. My son Shreyas has also acted in this film. Out of love for me, Duniya Vijay, Ravichandran, and many senior artistes have acted in this movie. The shooting of just one song—‘Nammamma Savadatti Ellamma’—cost nearly 65 lakhs. It has turned out lavishly on screen. The movie will be released in a grand manner on October 31.”
Producer Ramesh Yadav said, “I am very happy to have co-produced a film with K. Manju that gives a good message to society. The song ‘Nammamma’ released today has won the hearts of the people and is being widely viewed. We seek everyone’s support for our movie.”
Actress Brinda Acharya said, “Director S. Narayan is known for his discipline and restraint. I learned a lot while working on this film. The song’s lyrics are powerful, and the music and singing have added even more energy to it. We shot the song ‘Nammamma Devi Yellamma’ in a short time. I used to practice both at home and in the studio for the dance. Mohan master’s choreography was excellent, and Ananya Bhat’s singing brought even more intensity to the performance. This song comes at an emotional point in the film, reflecting the struggles my character is going through,” added Brinda Acharya.
