In Sanjaynagar, traffic cops seized a bus along with passengers simply for halting near Esteem Mall, sparking commuter outrage and raising questions for the Traffic Police Commissioner.
Bengaluru was left stunned after a shocking case of police misconduct in Sanjaynagar exposed the misuse of authority by traffic cops. For the simple act of halting near Esteem Mall in Hebbal, Constable Kumar stormed into the bus, threatened the driver, and declared the vehicle would be seized. Acting under the instructions of the Sanjaynagar Traffic Inspector, he went a step further-locking in the passengers themselves.

Commuters, many of them government employees and students rushed to offices and colleges on a Monday morning were trapped inside and driven around in traffic for nearly 30 minutes before being hauled to the Sanjaynagar Police Station. Their repeated pleas fell on deaf ears. Passengers furiously confronted the officers, but their anger was dismissed with cold indifference.

The shock deepened when police refused to provide any alternative transport, simply ordering the stranded commuters to get down and make their own way. To add insult to the injury, the Sanjaynagar Traffic Police Inspector reportedly threatened to file FIRs against those who dared to question the misconduct.
The incident has sparked massive outrage, with citizens demanding that the Traffic Police Commissioner personally respond to why Bengaluru passengers were treated this way-for nothing more than a routine bus stop.
