Pavitra, who married Pavan, S. Narayan’s son, in 2021, has levelled serious allegations of physical assault, harassment, and relentless pressure for money. She stated that Pavan, who was unemployed, forced her to fund the launch of a film institute, ‘Kala Samrat Team Academy’, by pawning her mother’s jewelry. Despite her efforts, the academy ran into losses and shut down, after which she borrowed ₹10 lakh to support Pavan.
According to the complaint, even after this financial support, Pavitra was allegedly beaten and thrown out of her house by Pavan and mother-in-law Bhagyalakshmi for refusing to bring more money. She also claims gold worth ₹1 lakh and marriage expenses were taken as dowry.
