A shocking crime has come to light from the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, where a woman murdered her husband with the help of her lover, cut his body into several pieces, and dumped them at different locations. The police have arrested the victim’s wife, Ruby, and her lover, Gaurav, after cracking the case.
The matter came to light when some people saw a polythene bag full of human body parts on 15th December, near an Idgah on Patraua Road in Sambhal. This caused panic in the area, so the police and a forensic squad rushed to the spot in order to start their investigation there. These body parts lacked a head, making identification quite difficult. However, one of them had tattoos on a cut hand, which ultimately led to the resolution of this case.

Tattoo leads police to victim, wife confesses to murder.
During the investigation, police traced the tattoo to Rahul, a resident of Chunni village of Agra district. Rahul’s wife, Ruby, had earlier filed a missing persons complaint of her husband on 24th November at the local police station, claiming that her husband had disappeared. As suspicion grew, police questioned Ruby, but her statements did not match and contained several contradictions.
When interrogated more strictly, Ruby broke down and confessed that she, along with her lover Gaurav, had killed Rahul. Ruby said that she was caught by Rahul with Gaurav in a compromising position on 18th November. After this, Rahul assaulted her and threatened to publicly humiliate her by taking out a procession. Fearing social disgrace, Ruby said she decided to eliminate him.
Search continues for the remaining body parts.
According to police, the murder took place inside the house. The following day, the killer purchased bags, polythene sheets, and a grinder machine from the market with the intention of breaking down the body pieces. Several parts of the body were thought to have been dumped in various locations to avoid detection. To date, the head and various body parts have not yet been found.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the police parties have raided the places where the body parts may be located. Rahul’s daughter told the police that Gaurav and one of his associates, Abhishek, frequently visited their house. She said that they would lure her out of the room with chocolates and talk secretly, discussing the murder plans.
Police have recovered several items from the accused, including the grinder machine, a hammer, an iron rod, two mobile phones, a motorcycle, a scooter, and a car, all of which were used in the crime and disposal of the body. According to the person in charge of Kotwali Police Station of Sambhal, further interrogation is underway to confirm the exact sequence of events, recover the remaining body parts, and determine whether more people were involved in the conspiracy.
