The film Rakta Kashmir, directed by senior filmmaker S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu — who has completed 50 years in the industry — will soon hit theatres. Produced under the MDM Production banner, the movie features Real Star Upendra and Ramya in the lead roles. Ahead of its release, the director held a press conference where two songs and the trailer were screened.
According to the team, Rakta Kashmir carries a social message and focuses on the fight against terrorism. Upendra appears in a dual role, while Ramya plays the female lead. The story includes a sequence where the hero trains children to combat terrorism. The film showcases how these children escape when danger arises and how they help prevent a major explosion planned in the city.
Following Nagarahole, this is another film by the director that prominently features children. More than 100 children have acted in the movie, with seven playing significant roles.
A key highlight of the film is an 18-minute song that features 15 major Kannada actors, including Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Srinath, Shivarajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar, Jaggesh, Upendra, Ramesh Aravind, Darshan, Jai Jagadish, Aditya, and Rockline Venkatesh. According to the director, no film in any language has featured this many leading actors in a single song.
Rajendra Singh Babu stated that efforts are underway to bring the film to audiences soon. He also mentioned that his next directorial project, Veera Kambala, is set for a January release. Following that, he plans to begin work on Rani Chenna Bhairadevi, for which Ramya is being considered for the lead role. He added that Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade has encouraged him to take up the project. Arun Rai Todar, producer of Veera Kambala, was present at the press meet.
