Rosie Roche, a relative of the UK royal family who was cousin to Princes William and Harry, was found dead with a gun nearby, according to reports.
The UK Sun reported Monday that Roche — the granddaughter of Princess Diana’s uncle Edmund Roche — was found at her family’s home in Wiltshire on July 14. She was discovered by her mother and sister and had been packing for a vacation.
A coroner told the outlet the death was not considered suspicious and there were no other people involved.
The 20-year-old was working on a degree in English literature at Durham University.
She was described as a “darling” daughter, sister and granddaughter in an obituary published in the Yorkshire Post. The notice added that a private memorial service would be held.
The royal family hasn’t commented on Roche’s death publicly.
