Over the course of a two-day interrogation, the complainant allegedly mentioned several individuals, including the retired officer. Based on this, the SIT is likely to issue notices to multiple people named during the deposition, including the former cop, for further questioning.
Meanwhile, investigators continue to collect physical evidence related to the case. Recently, areas allegedly linked to buried human remains were marked and inspected. Yesterday, excavation at one of the marked locations began in search of bones or other clues, but no evidence was found. The SIT has intensified digging today at other identified sites.
