Actress Priyanka Upendra, known for her versatile performances across various roles, is starring in a new film titled “September 21.” The team has already completed post-production work, and the film is ready for release.
September 21 has been shot in both Hindi and Kannada, and the team has planned to release it in 2026. The film is directed by 21-year-old Karan Krishi Suvarna, marking his directorial debut. It is also set to be screened at the 56th International Film Festival of Goa (IFFI), which will be held from November 20 to November 24.
On the occasion of Priyanka Upendra’s birthday, the team has decided to unveil the first look poster of the film. In this movie, Priyanka Upendra will be seen portraying the role of a middle-class woman for the first time.
“This is one of the most challenging roles of my career, and it has been beautifully captured by the young director,” said Priyanka Upendra.
Apart from Priyanka Upendra, the film features a strong ensemble cast of Bollywood actors including Praveen Singh Sisodiya, Zarina Wahab, Amit Behl, Ajit Shidaye, and Sachin Patekar.
The story revolves around Alzheimer’s disease, with the core message being that “the decisions made by the caregiver are just as important as the condition of the patient.”
The film’s story is by Rajshekhar, music by Vinay Chandra, and cinematography by Anil Kumar.
September 21 is being jointly produced by FMD Visic Films and Film Max Productions in association with Hamara Movie, the company run by Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali’s wife, Preeti Ali.
