Bilichukki Hallihakki, directed, produced, and headlined by Mahira fame Mahesh Gowda, is set to release across Karnataka on October 24. The film, which has already gained attention through its songs and trailer, has drawn comments from former MP Pratap Simha, who shared his thoughts on the movie and its themes.
Speaking about the film, Pratap Simha noted that Bilichukki Hallihakki combines entertainment with a meaningful narrative centered around the challenges of stammering. He praised Mahesh Gowda for his efforts and urged audiences to watch and support the film.
Simha observed that Kannada cinema has recently seen several innovative projects succeed despite modest budgets. He cited examples such as Kantara and Kantara Chapter 1, both of which achieved significant success, as well as Su From Su, which also performed well. He added that Bilichukki Hallihakki continues this streak of fresh and creative storytelling. Supporting such efforts, he said, would encourage filmmakers like Mahesh Gowda to create more quality films.
After analyzing the film’s narrative, Pratap Simha commented that it is wrong to belittle anyone because of physical challenges or health conditions. He described stammering as a common physical condition and said the film conveys the message of facing life’s difficulties with courage, while maintaining entertainment value. He expressed his wishes for the film’s success and hoped Goddess Chamundeshwari would give Mahesh Gowda the strength to continue such meaningful work.
Produced under the Honnudi Productions banner, the film stars Kajal Kundar as the female lead, with Veena Sundar, Ravi Bhat, Jahangir, and Lakshmi Siddayya in key roles. The technical crew includes Kiran C.H.M. as cinematographer, Monish as editor, and Rio Antony as both music composer and background scorer. Choreography is handled by Aditi Narayan and Raghu, while lyrics are penned by Pratap Bhat and Mahendra Gowda.
Two songs released earlier have received positive responses, and the trailer has attracted strong viewer interest. With this positive momentum, Bilichukki Hallihakki is set to arrive in theatres soon.
