The title poster of the Kannada film Pistol has been released. Actor Vasishta N. Simha unveiled the poster and extended his wishes to the team. The film is being produced by Prabeek Mogaveer under the banner of Atma Cinemas. He has written the story and screenplay, and will also be seen in one of the major roles. The film is directed by Ved, who has previously directed the films School Ramayana and Raven.
Pistol is planned as a suspense cum crime-thriller. The team stated that there are no conventional hero or heroine roles in the film, and the narrative itself is the main lead. The storyline revolves around six characters, similar to six bullets in a pistol. The makers also intend to bring a well-known South Indian actor for a special appearance.
Speaking at the poster launch, Vasishta N. Simha said that both the title and poster create a sense of curiosity and that the storyline shared by the team indicates a new thematic attempt in Kannada cinema. The title poster is currently circulating widely on social media and has received positive reactions.
Prabeek Mogaveer, who previously directed and produced Gadiyara in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, later acted in Tanike and Shaantiyannu Kaladuko Bedi. He has worked in Naayi Ide Echarike!, Asuran Kaiyalli Paarijatha and Raven, and is now preparing for Pistol before those films release.
Most of the scripting and pre-production works for Pistol are completed and the selection of actors and technicians is underway. According to the production team, the film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year and is planned for release in the middle of next year.
