The Patanjali Group on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Russia amid the India-Russia summit in New Delhi. The agreement aims to expand Patanjali’s wellness services, yoga training, and Ayurvedic practices across Russia while fostering bilateral trade in herbal products.
The MoU was formally executed by Swami Ramdev on behalf of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Sergey Cheremin, Chairman of the Indo-Russia Business Council and Russian Minister of Commerce. Under the agreement, Patanjali will prioritize the promotion of yoga, Ayurveda, and naturopathy in Russia, where these practices are already gaining traction among citizens. Key initiatives include collaborative research into advanced wellness techniques, such as methods to reverse aging and early detection of serious illnesses. The deal further opens avenues for cross-promotion of leading Indian and Russian brands, enhancing economic collaboration.
The partnership will also facilitate the exchange of skilled Indian “Yogis” and trained professionals to Russia, leveraging Patanjali’s role as a private partner in India’s Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, which has certified over 200,000 individuals.
