The songs of the film Om Shivam, directed by Alvin—who has around 13 years of experience in the film industry—have been released on the Krish Music YouTube channel. The music for the film is composed by Vijay Yardley, and there are a total of four songs. One of them, based on Lord Shiva, is written in Sanskrit. The lyrics for the other three songs are written by Kaviraj, Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, and Ghouse Peer.
The film is produced by K.N. Krishna under the banner of Deepa Movies, and his son Bhargav Krishna plays the lead role. Alvin, originally a theatre artist who has performed in over 600 street plays, is making his directorial debut with this film.
Director Alvin said, “There are four songs in the film. Our film will be released through Vijay Cinemas on September 5. It is a love and action film. The story runs in two genres. The one-line story is about how today’s boys and girls struggle to protect their love. The shooting took place in and around Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mandya, and Madikeri. We plan to release the film in Kannada first, followed by Tamil and Telugu.”
Producer K.N. Krishna said, “I made this film with a long-held dream. I had the desire to make a film 20 years ago, but it didn’t happen then. Now I’ve fulfilled that dream through my son. I’ve also acted in one role in the film.”
Lead actor Bhargav Krishna said, “This is my first film. I was happy when the director narrated the story. It has good songs, fight sequences, and a love story. I trained with the director for five to six months and then acted in the film. I have played the role of Shivu, and the film shows what happens when someone falls in love.”
Actress Veranika Shetty said, “I was selected for this film through an audition. The film portrays the love story of the current generation.”
Music director Vijay Yardley said, “This is my fourth Kannada film. I’ve worked on several Tamil films. Four songs of different genres have now been released. Initially, there was no plan for a Shivam song, but the producer suggested it, so we created it. The lyrics for this song are in Sanskrit.” He also shared details about the lyricists and singers.
Lyricist Kaviraj said, “I was happy to write this song. There are good lines in it. The singers have also sung well. Nowadays, movies don’t run for 100 days like before. Even three days is a lot. So if viewers want to watch, they should come in the first three days. If a film runs well for three days, it will stay in theatres on the fourth day. That’s how it should sustain.”
Cinematographer Viresh N.T.A., actors Vardhan Thirthahalli and Ugram Ravi shared their experiences. Actors Abhay and Gauri Shankar attended the event as guests.
