The Commerce & Transport Department of Odisha has announced the expansion of the Odisha Yatri app with two transformative features: ‘Ama Bus’ ticket booking and Chilika boating ticketing services, starting with Satapada.
The update allows users to book tickets for government-operated buses under the Ama Bus initiative directly through the app, offering improved accessibility, transparency, and ease of travel. Additionally, tourists visiting Chilika Lake can now select boating packages, choose travel dates, make payments, and receive QR-coded digital tickets—all within the app. These tickets are validated at the boating point, where boats are assigned via an integrated system.
The Android version of the app has already been rolled out successfully, while the iOS version is pending approval and will be available soon. Officials have confirmed that further enhancements will be introduced in the coming days to streamline the user experience.
Principal Secretary Smt. Usha Padhee, IAS, emphasized that Odisha Yatri is more than just a booking platform—it’s a tool for empowering citizens to travel with confidence. “With Ama Bus and Chilika boating services, we’re making mobility and tourism smarter, safer, and more inclusive,” she said.
The Odisha Yatri app continues to evolve as a one-stop solution for travel and tourism, aligning with the state’s vision of a connected and future-ready Odisha.
