Construction momentum has picked up along the airport-bound corridor after a nine-month halt in 2023, triggered by a tragic accident at HBR Layout. Notably, two of the metro stations within the airport limits are being developed by the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) to align with its signature architectural plan. While the Airport City station will come up at ground level, the Airport Terminal station is being built as a semi-underground structure, seven to eight metres below the surface.
