The story of “Nadubettu Appanna” revolves around Appanna, a miserly and selfish man living in a remote village called “Dabbadka,” and his family. He shows no concern for the hardships of the village or the needs of his own family. He and the other villagers frequently suffer attacks by elephants on themselves and their farmland. The village lacks basic necessities such as nearby towns, roads, hospitals, and schools. To reach the nearest towns, they must use a coracle, due to which they have faced many deaths. When an elephant attacks his farmland, Appanna is suddenly shaken. In that incident, he loses his wife and son. After this tragedy, Appanna undergoes a complete transformation. Realizing that saving money without providing proper safety for his home and land has no meaning, he regrets being selfish. He then forms a trust and donates his entire property to the government for the welfare of his village. This is the plot summary of the film.
