Karavali’s talent and Bigg Boss fame Rockstar Roopesh Shetty has acted in and directed the bilingual Tulu and Kannada film Jai. The song titled Love from the film has now been released. Since it is a pure love song, it was launched by real-life couples — Gurukiran and his wife, Niranjan Deshpande and his wife, Vinay Gowda and his wife, Rupesh Rajanna and his wife, and Aryavardhan Guruji and his wife.
Roopesh Shetty shared that it took a long time to finalize the Love You song. Even after listening to five versions, the sixth version was finalized. The team wanted to create a song that listeners would want to keep replaying, so a lot of effort went into perfecting it. While searching for the right voice, Rajath Hegde’s vocals stood out as the perfect match, leading him to sing the Love You track.
Jai will be released in both Tulu and Kannada languages. In the Tulu version, the lyrics are written by Roopesh Shetty himself, while the Kannada lyrics are written by Keerthan Bhandari. The Kannada lyrics are not a direct translation but have been crafted keeping the essence, emotion, and meaning of the original song intact. Roopesh Shetty wrote the Tulu version of Love You within a single day.
Actress Adhvithi Shetty plays the female lead opposite Roopesh Shetty. Jai marks Adhvithi’s first Tulu film, and she expressed happiness that her debut in Tulu — her mother tongue — is through this project. In the film, she plays the role of a journalist.
The film is produced under the banners of R.S. Cinemas, Shoolin Films, and Mugrody Productions, with Anil Shetty, Sudhakar Shetty Mugrody, and Manjunath Attavar as producers, and Deekshith as co-producer.
Roopesh Shetty said, “I wanted to release one song in a special way. I invited everyone I had in mind, and their presence made the event memorable. My idea was to have the song launched by couples who are real-life examples of love, and that wish came true. The song has received appreciation from everyone.”
