If good content reaches the screens, people are indeed ready to put their phones down and come to the big screen. Now, another film with such engaging content is ready to hit the screens — Love Myatru.

Initially, the team had officially announced August 1 as the release date for Love Matru. However, observing the high rush of releases around that time, they made a conscious decision to postpone the release. Had they stuck to the original plan, they would have managed to get a few theatres, but director and lead actor Virat Bilwa preferred to wait. The joy of seeing packed theatres was important to him too. So, the team decided to release the film on August 22 instead.
Produced by Vandana Priya under the Silver Rhythm banner, ‘Love Myatru’ was initially scheduled for an August 1 release. Explaining the postponement, Virat Bilwa says “We didn’t release the film on August 1 due to several positive developments. Every decision has its pros and cons. But we are firm believers in thinking positively. A myth had taken hold — that people don’t watch Kannada films in theatres. When a Kannada film does exceptionally well, we should support that wave. That’s why we postponed our release.”
Producer Vandana echoed a similar sentiment, emphasizing both content and timing: “Producers always have to consider the business side of things. I evaluated the business potential and the overall industry scenario before deciding. We strongly believe that content is king, and at the same time, so is the audience. That’s why we decided to wait and release the film at a better time.”
With positivity in their stride and confidence in their content, the Love Myatru team is all set to bring their film to theatres on August 22, hoping to continue the success streak Kannada cinema is witnessing.
