Duniya Vijay aka Vijay Kumar and Raj B. Shetty duo is seen in Land Lord Kannada film that carries the caption ‘The Ruler’. Under the banner of Saarathi Films, produced by K.V. Satyaprakash and Hemanth Gowda K.S., directed by Jadesh K. Hampi and starring Duniya Vijay and Rachita Ram, the Land Lord film’s “Survivor” teaser was released recently and captured the audience’s attention.
Now, the film’s “The Ruler” teaser has been released. Raj B. Shetty plays the role of The Ruler. This teaser serves as the introduction to Raj B. Shetty’s character. This much-awaited film is releasing on January 23, 2026.
Actor Raj B. Shetty said, “The first reason I accepted this film is director Jadesh, because I am someone who wants a director to win. In this film, I play a character that belongs to the oppressor class, someone who will do anything for power. The director told me that the character needed hair. I asked, ‘Do I really need it?’ because some wigs don’t suit me. I’ll be on one side and the wig will be on the other. I told them I need a wig that performs with me. So I get wigs from people who know me well, and they give me one that fits. When I saw the teaser, I felt the wig suited me well. My dialogues are in the Kolar dialect. I acted with Duniya Vijay for the first time, and I’m very happy. I wish the best for the producers. May this film become a success,” he said.
Duniya Vijay said, “Twenty years ago I came saying, ‘Nanthaa iròdu erade eradu tomato, hadinaide rupaayi kaannanna.’ Raj B. Shetty came holding an egg. People have made fun of us so much back then. In the end, I have become the ‘Survivor’ and he has become the ‘Ruler.’ Every actor in this film has performed extremely well. After listening to Jadesh’s story, the producers ensured there were no compromises in the making. The technicians have also worked very well. Our film is releasing on January 23. Before that, three songs and the trailer will be released,” he said.
Director Jadesh K. Hampi said, “First, I want to thank the producers who liked this story and came forward to make the film. In this film, Duniya Vijay appears in a 50-year-old man’s role, Rachita Ram plays the mother of a child, and Raj B. Shetty appears as ‘The Ruler’—all roles they have never played before. Both the producers and actors gave me complete freedom. No one questioned anything. Because of that, the film has turned out exactly as I envisioned.”
Producer Hemanth Gowda said, “Last month, our film’s ‘The Survivor’ teaser was released. Now, ‘The Ruler’ teaser is out. We are very happy that Duniya Vijay and Raj B. Shetty are both acting in our film. May the support you have given us from the beginning continue?”
Actress Bhavana Rao said, “I appear as a character named Padma in this film. My dialogues are also in the Kolar dialect.”
