A Kannada edition of author Ranjith Radhakrishnan’s literary work based on the puranic narrative of Renuka Jamadagni and Parashurama has been announced. The book, titled “ಅಂಶ – ಪರಶುರಾಮನ ಶೌರ್ಯಗಾಥೆ” (Ansha – Parashuramana Shauryagaathe), aims to retell the traditional storyline in a structured format for contemporary Kannada readership.
Ranjith Radhakrishnan is also the brother-in-law of actor Kichcha Sudeepa. A written endorsement from Sudeepa has been featured in the promotional material. His statement reads “ಪರವಪರ್ವದ್ವಾ ಲೋಮಾನಚ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಂತ್ರೀಕವಿನಸವ ಕೌಶುಮಯ, ಕುತೂಹಲದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ… – ಕಿಚ್ಚ ಸುದೀಪ್”
The announcement was made in connection with Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations. The author confirmed that pre-orders for the Kannada edition will open on Amazon starting November 20. Details regarding the book launch event, publishing house, and wider distribution will be shared in the coming days.
The release adds another contribution to the ongoing efforts to present Indian mythological themes through contemporary Kannada literature while retaining their cultural roots.
