Ramesh Aravind says he was made to use a bucket of blood in this KD film, where he plays the role of Dharma. “There’s usually a small bottle of blood in the makeup kit, and in nearly 150 films, I’ve maintained it that way. But in this KD film, the director has used all the blood meant for all films combined!” he quips. “In fact, I initially resisted accepting this film. But it was Prem’s passion and patience that moved me,” adds Ramesh Aravind.
Take a look at the observations of this gentleman hero-cum-director on KD:
“I saw tremendous work from director Prem for KD. He is the Khatarnak director, according to me, in this violent saga.”
Looking at the producer KVN, the talented Ramesh Aravind remarked, “It is a Kharchina Dhamaka!”
Kalavidara Darbar — because there’s so much energy and so many stars: V. Ravichandran, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Dhruva, Rishma, and others.
Reacting to the black ticket that Prem bought for Khalnayak at Pramod Theater, Ramesh Aravind said, “That was the one! I bought that black ticket from Prem. I enjoyed all of Sanjay Dutt’s films.”
To Shilpa Shetty, he added humorously, “Shilpa, I didn’t enjoy you for your Yoga!” Ramesh Aravind admits with a smile.
About Dhruva: “He’s always pranking around, but suddenly pounces with energy and transforms into Kalidasa before the camera. I have many scenes with him. When Dhruva does action, it feels just right—because of his personality.”
“There were many schedules for this film,” Ramesh Aravind shares. “I told my wife that KD means Kali and Dharma, my character. Prem made sure it had meaning.”
Priti means love, but Supreeth is a truly loving personality.
The Shiva Shiva song is excellent — Anand Audio has picked a winner. Everyone has done excellent work.
