In a move to streamline government operations and ensure accountability, the government has announced a temporary halt on all official foreign trips until the end of this year. The directive comes after numerous government officials failed to submit required reports from their previous foreign assignments.

Under the new rules, if any official foreign trip is undertaken, the concerned official must submit a study report, a learning report, and a list of recommendations within one week of returning. However, an alarming trend has been observed: many officials have not submitted their reports for foreign trips taken between August of last year and July of this year.
Strict conditions for any future foreign travel
The government has now set strict conditions for any future foreign travel. In the absence of submitted reports from past trips, no new official foreign trips will be authorized. This policy, outlined in an order by the Undersecretary of the Government, is designed to ensure that public funds are used effectively and that officials return with actionable insights from their international engagements.
The freeze on foreign travel will remain in place until the end of the year, and officials are urged to comply with the reporting requirements to avoid further travel restrictions. The government is committed to improving transparency and accountability in its foreign affairs dealings.
