The Kamal Sridevi film team has conducted a character-based promotional photoshoot in Bengaluru’s K.R. Market and surrounding public spaces. The shoot follows the release of the film’s concept poster and a formal launch with a ritual at Bande Mahakali Temple.
Actors Sachin Chaluvarayaswamy, Sangeetha Bhat, and Akshatha Bopayya were seen in costumes from the film, posing in-character at flower stalls, fruit and turmeric shops, bangle stores, and the rooftop of the K.R. Market building. The team also shot in front of and inside private buses, and interacted with the public in busy areas like K.R. Market and Kote Beedi. Scenes included scattering flowers and posing for photos while engaging in character-specific activities such as drishti removal by transgender performers and consulting fortune tellers.
Photographer Kevin Sherwin Mascarenhas captured the shoot, which the team stated is directly related to the film’s plot and character arcs.

Kamal Shridevi is produced by B.K. Dhanalakshmi under the Swarnambika Pictures banner, co-produced by Rajavardan (Barnswallow Company), and directed by V.A. Sunil Kumar. Sachin Chaluvarayaswamy plays the lead alongside Kishore, Ramesh Indira, Sangeetha Bhat, and others. Rajavardan is also the film’s creative head.
Sachin Chaluvarayaswamy: “This was Rajavardan’s idea. The shoot reflects the film’s story and character connections, especially between Kamal, and the roles played by Sangeetha and Akshatha.”
Sangeetha Bhat: “The shoot hints at my role in the film. It was Rajavardan’s concept. Filming in a public space and observing people’s reactions was a different experience.”
Rajavardan: “Today’s promotions need on-ground engagement. Connecting with viewers requires organic efforts, and this shoot was one such attempt.”
Director V.A. Sunil Kumar: “I had earlier filmed in this area during Jackie and Anna Bond. That memory led to using the space again. The link between this location, the shoot, and the film will be clear once it releases.”
