‘Joteyagi Hitavagi’ a beautiful Kannada film has a very good history as the song in yesteryears Kannada film is still popular. The subject is that of a father–son bonding.
The movie is set to release on September 19. Ahead of that, a premiere show was held recently. Viewers who watched the film at Victory theatre appreciated it wholeheartedly, praising both the love story and the father-son sentiment. For the film team, there is nothing more rewarding than the audience’s approval.
The title Joteyagi Hitavagi is taken from a line in a song from Shivarajkumar’s first film ‘Anand’. There is a reason behind choosing this line as the title – the film’s hero Agastya Dodmane is a die-hard fan of Shivanna. Since the movie is based on a love subject, the team felt the title suited perfectly. Initially, the film was titled ‘Ondey Ondu Sala’, but later it was changed to match the storyline. The film beautifully weaves what happens when too much freedom is given at home, and what happens when there are extreme restrictions.
Earlier, the team had planned to make ‘Joteyagi Hitavagi’ as a short film, but as the story progressed, they ended up making it into a full-length feature film. Keeping in mind that a film must be presented well to the audience, the team reshot several scenes. Also, the entire Belagavi region has been portrayed in the style of Malenadu.
In this film, Agastya appears as the lead actor. Originally from Belagavi, he had the dream of acting in films since his school days. However, he did not have support from home to pursue cinema. Still, in the hope of one chance, Agastya learned the technical aspects of filmmaking. As a result of all his hard work, he has now become a hero.
Agastya and Suvarta play the lead pair. The first-look poster has already been released. Produced by Sri Ratna Film Company, this debut film is directed by A.R. Krishna. Anand Neenasam has brought life to the role of the father. The cast also includes Chetan Durga, Ballari Arjun, Salomi D’Souza, Bhumika Deshpande, Vinayak, and others.
