Hombale Films’ Kantara Chapter 1, written, directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, has emerged as the biggest box-office success of 2025. The film has crossed ₹250 crore in Karnataka alone, continuing a dominant run across India and registering new milestones for Kannada cinema.
To commemorate Kannada Rajyotsava, Hombale Films has announced reduced ticket pricing for audiences in Karnataka. With effect from October 31, the film will be screened at ₹99 in single-screen theatres and ₹150 in multiplexes.
Released on October 2, 2025, Kantara Chapter 1 has received wide response for its rooted storytelling, visual presentation, and performances. The production house stated that the initiative is intended to allow more viewers to revisit the film and celebrate the cultural identity of Karnataka during the state festival.
