A tragic case of suicide has come to light after Dheeraj Kansal, a Gurugram-based professional, was found dead in a Delhi Airbnb apartment after allegedly inhaling helium gas. He had booked the flat from July 20 to 28, and reportedly sourced the gas for ₹3,500 via IndiaMART, from a supplier in Ghaziabad.

Kansal left behind a heart-wrenching message on Facebook, expressing his decision as a personal choice and asking that no one be blamed. He described death as “the most beautiful part of life” and clarified that he had no regrets. In his post, Kansal called his life “a lie” and spoke of deep self-loathing and isolation. He thanked people who had been kind to him but admitted he felt like a “loser” despite years of trying to change.
He shared that the death of his grandmother had deeply impacted him, leaving him emotionally paralyzed and reclusive. Kansal also expressed a wish that his money be donated to a charity and his organs be used to help others.
Police recovered both a physical note and digital posts, which aligned in content. Investigations are ongoing, but officers confirmed that his message strongly emphasized not disturbing anyone in connection with his death.
