The song “Gangi Gangi” from the film BRAT, directed by Shashank and starring Darling Krishna, has been released.
The film, produced by Manjunath Kandakur, is being made in five languages including Kannada. Since its beginning, BRAT has drawn attention through its teaser and songs. The new track “Gangi Gangi” was released at Mantri Mall in the presence of thousands of fans and the film team.
The song is written and sung by Balu Belagundi, with vocals also by Indu Nagraj and music composed by Arjun Janya. Darling Krishna and Aneira have performed for the track.
Speaking at the event, lyricist-singer Balu Belagundi recalled his journey from composing folk songs to participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He mentioned that Arjun Janya had promised to give him a chance in films and thanked the composer, producer, and director for the opportunity.
Director Shashank described BRAT as an action-thriller with a father-son storyline. He noted that Sid Sriram’s song “Nane Neenante” from the film had already gained wide attention online and said the film is scheduled for release on November 14.
Actor Darling Krishna said it had been three to four years since he danced in a film, and credited director Shashank for his performance and look in the song. He also acknowledged producer Manjunath Kandakur’s role in shaping the film.
Producer Manjunath Kandakur stated that after First Rank Raju, this is his next production and that he was impressed with Shashank’s story, which motivated him to back the project.
Actress Manisha Kandakur, who makes her Kannada debut in BRAT, plays the role of a middle-class girl named Manisha. She also attended the song launch and said the track has turned out well.
Actor Dragon Manju, along with Kidwai Institute doctors Ramachandra and Badarinath, were present at the event. The songs of BRAT have been released through Anand Audio.
