The first schedule of the Kannada film Dad, starring Karunada Chakravarthy Shivrajkumar, has been completed in Mysore. The film recently began with a muhurtha ceremony held at the Nandi Temple on Chamundi Hill, Mysore. The team has now wrapped up the initial phase of shooting in the palace city, with the second schedule set to begin soon.
Produced by Harish Peddi under the banner of Myra Creations, the film marks the Kannada debut of Telugu filmmaker Anil Kanneganti, who has written the story, screenplay, and is directing the project. B.S. Sudheendra is serving as the executive producer.
Shivrajkumar will be seen playing the role of a doctor after many years. The cast also includes Sharmila Mandre, Baby Nakshatra, Babu, and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Dad is being made as a trilingual film in Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. Arjun Janya is composing the music, while cinematography is by B. Rajashekar.
