With the Yellow Line Metro boosting connectivity, ELCITA introduces free feeder buses linking Electronic City stations to major office hubs.
The Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) has rolled out a free feeder bus service to support commuters using the newly opened Yellow Line Metro. The service links EC1 (Electronic City Metro Station) and EC2 (Infosys/Konappana Agrahara Metro Station) with major offices and tech parks across the industrial hub.

Operating from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday, the feeder buses run on multiple routes, ensuring that professionals traveling into Electronic City can reach their workplaces quickly and comfortably.

Tech-enabled and commuter-friendly
To make the service convenient, buses can be tracked live through the ELCITA Citizens App, helping passengers plan their journeys with ease. The initiative aims to promote stress-free, sustainable commuting by reducing dependence on private vehicles and easing congestion in the area.

Boost from Yellow Line metro
The feeder buses come just days after the Yellow Line Metro became operational, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra along a 19.15-km stretch with 16 stations. This corridor is already transforming daily travel for thousands of IT professionals and industrial workers in South Bengaluru.
On its first full day, the Yellow Line saw over 52,000 riders, contributing to a record 10.48 lakh daily ridership across the metro network. With further expansions and additional trainsets planned, ridership is expected to climb to 12.5 lakh passengers per day.
