Director Raghu Shivamogga’s film The Task has drawn attention through its title and teaser and is set for release on November 21. The song launch event was held on Sunday at the Kalavidara Sangha in Bengaluru, where actor Dhruva Sarja attended as the special guest and released the semi-rap song “Saguva Dariya Thumbaa.”
Speaking after the launch, Dhruva Sarja said the song sounded promising and credited Sandy for delivering unique music. He noted that the teaser suggested an action thriller and mentioned that it builds anticipation to watch the film. He added that two new heroes are being launched through the film and appealed to Kannada cinema fans to watch and support the movie on November 21. He also stated that he and his friends would watch the film on the first day, first show.
Director Raghu Shivamogga said that audiences have already seen the teaser and the song, and he preferred to let the film speak for itself. He thanked Vijay Kumar, Ramanna, Rajesh, and Narendra Babu for playing a major role in making the film possible. He requested audiences to visit theatres and watch the film when it releases on November 21.
The Task features Jayasurya R. Azad of Bheem fame, Sagar Ram from Pentagon, and child actor Baby Sri Lakshmi in lead roles. Raghu Shivamogga, known for Churikatte, has also played an important role in addition to directing the film. The cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Srilakshmi, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Aravind Kuplikar, Harini Srikanth, Sampath Maitreya, Balaji Manohar, and B.M. Giriraj.
The film is produced by Vijay Kumar and Ramanna under the Lokapoojya Picture House banner. The song “Saguva Dariya Thumbaa” has been composed in a semi-rap format. V. Nagendra Prasad has written the lyrics, and vocals are by Raghu Shivamogga and Chetan Naik. Music is composed by Judah Sandy.
