Is it possible for a television channel to produce and telecast a documentary about a feature film…? “Koragajja” has made such a question possible! Yes… Maharashtra Doordarshan’s Sahyadri channel telecast a documentary last night at 10:30 PM about the film “Koragajja” directed by Sudheer Attavar, thereby creating a new milestone. It is also being re-telecast today. This documentary is available on Prasar Bharati’s “Waves” OTT platform as well.
Under the production of Trivikram Sapalya, from Success Films and Trivikram Banner, the audio launch of the Koragajja film was held recently in Mangaluru through an all-India level press meet. In the presence of journalists who had arrived from Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mangaluru… and various parts of the country, the film team released the audio via Zee Music, creating a new record. The same night, in the presence of thousands of people and hundreds of journalists, the grand kola-seve of Koragajja Daiva was conducted. Since this was a new experience for the journalists who had come from across the nation, news about the Koragajja film started spreading widely in print, TV, and digital media all over India.
For nearly 15 years, several producers and directors had attempted to make a film on Koragajja. But after Sudheer Attavar took up the project, new incidents and fresh ideas have become part of its journey.
The entire programme was designed in a very unique manner by director Sudheer Attavar and EP Vidyadhar Shetty. Such a uniquely orchestrated event perhaps inspired the Mumbai Doordarshan channel to create a documentary on ‘Koragajja’.
