Cricket Ireland has announced a new long-term partnership with Irish sports technology company KineMo, naming the Trinity College Dublin spinout as its Official Biomechanics Partner.
The agreement follows a successful pilot phase and will see KineMo’s AI-driven movement analysis platform integrated across a range of Cricket Ireland’s high-performance and player support programmes.
KineMo’s system uses a single camera and no wearables or markers to deliver detailed full-body kinematic analysis.
The platform has demonstrated accuracy on par with traditional biomechanics labs, offering a scalable and accessible solution for real-time assessment in a sporting environment.
Speaking about the new partnership, Warren Deutrom, CEO of Cricket Ireland, said:
“The increasing adoption of technology has been pushing most areas of our business forward in recent years. One area of our operations that can benefit greatly from a technology-focused service like KineMo is our Performance Services team.”
“Whether it’s player development, managing workloads, or overseeing rehabilitation plans, we believe KineMo will perfectly complement our existing programme and help us improve our understanding of our players and their management as high-performance athletes.”
The technology will be used by Cricket Ireland’s physio and coaching teams across three main areas of athletic development, rehabilitation and skill development.
Leo Peyton, Co-Founder of KineMo, welcomed the partnership:
“It’s incredibly exciting to see our relationship with Cricket Ireland evolve from a pilot just a few months ago to a full partnership.”
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to innovation in athlete performance and recovery. We’re looking forward to further developing KineMo’s applications in cricket-specific contexts.”
