Cricket Ireland and the England & Wales Cricket Board have today confirmed that Ireland Women will face England Women in a three-match ODI series in England in September 2026.
The series will form part of the ICC Women’s Championship, with qualification points for the 2029 ODI World Cup on the line.
2026 Series Details:
1 September – 1st ODI at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester (1 pm)
3 September – 2nd ODI at Central Co-op County Ground, Derby (1 pm)
6 September – 3rd ODI at New Road, Worcester (11 am)
“It is good to be able to announce these International Women’s Championship ODI fixture dates so early, as it helps the team plan the rest of their summer in 2026,” said Richard Holdsworth, Director of Cricket.
“These are significantly important matches as they are part of the 2029 ODI World Cup qualification structure. We are also pleased to be based in the Midlands and happy that all venues are so close to each other.”
This 2026 series comes just two years after Ireland Women made history by defeating England in the final match of a 2024 series in Belfast, sealing a last-ball win that captured the imagination of fans and sponsors alike.
The performance earned significant media attention and served as a breakthrough moment for the women’s game in Ireland.
Ireland Men will welcome England for a three-match T20I series at Malahide in Dublin later this year, with games on the 17th, 19th and 21st September.
The series is expected to draw large crowds and corporate interest.
