The much-awaited prequel to Kantara (2022) gets a cultural boost as Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh records a special song, adding a unique North-Indian flavour to the action-packed saga.
Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is pulling out all the stops to ensure it becomes one of India’s most ambitious cinematic events. In an exciting new development, popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has been roped in to record a special song for the film. The recording is set to take place tomorrow at YRF Studios in Andheri, Mumbai.

This prequel to the critically acclaimed Kantara (2022) is designed to broaden its pan-India appeal by blending diverse cultural elements. Hombale Films will release the film in multiple languages, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English, ensuring it resonates with audiences across the country and abroad.
Composer B Ajaneesh Loknath is helming the music and background score, while cinematographer Arvind Kashyap and production designer Vinesh Banglan are part of the creative dream team. The makers have also crafted one of the most massive war sequences in Indian cinema history, involving over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extras, filmed over 45–50 days on a rugged 25-acre terrain.

Backed by Hombale Films, the mystical action-thriller promises to deliver a larger-than-life cinematic spectacle when it hits theatres worldwide on October 2, 2025.
