A special paid premiere show was held yesterday, receiving a wave of positive feedback. The film has been rated U/A and runs for 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 53 seconds. As the film continues its global rollout, the number of screenings is steadily increasing, with Kantara: Chapter 1 now featured on more than 7,000 screens across India and an additional 1,000 overseas, making a total of 8,000 screens worldwide.

The film, with a production budget of approximately ₹125 crore, explores the origins of the traditional Bhoot Kola ritual during the era of the Kadamba dynasty, around 300 AD. Rishab Shetty takes on dual roles: a villager in the first half and a warrior in the second.
The film’s success is evident, having sold over 4 lakh advance tickets and grossing ₹18.95 crore, including screenings and premium seats. It has also been released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Fans eagerly await its continued success on the global stage.
