The film Brat, which has drawn attention in Sandalwood due to its title, has released its song ‘Naanē Nīnante…’ in five languages — Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi — through Anand Audio.
The film is directed by Shashank and stars Darling Krishna in the lead role. It is being produced by Manjunath Kandakur, who earlier produced First Rank Raju. The film is being made simultaneously in five languages, with music composed by Arjun Janya.
The male version of the song in Kannada and Telugu has been sung by Sid Sriram. The Kannada female version has been sung by Lahari Mahesh, known from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, while the female versions in the other four languages have been sung by Sireesha. Nihal Tauro has sung the Hindi male version, while Srikanth Hariharan has sung the Tamil and Telugu versions.
Previously, the combination of Shashank, Arjun Janya, and Sid Sriram was seen in Love 360’s song Jagave Neenu GeLatiye, which had a successful run. The team states that Naanē Nīnante… is also receiving strong responses across all languages and has gone viral.
At the press conference, the team shared updates about the film.
Lead actor Darling Krishna stated that his earlier film Kousalya Supraja Rama, in collaboration with Shashank, was well-received, and Brat is their next project together. He mentioned that the first-look poster of Brat received positive feedback and credited director Shashank and the team for it. Krishna said the newly released song has come out well and highlighted the contribution of Arjun Janya’s composition and vocals by Sid Sriram and Lahari Mahesh. He added that each song in the film is unique, and another song — a favorite of his daughter — is scheduled for release next month.
Director Shashank said that all songs created with Arjun Janya in past films have been successful, and Naanē Nīnante… joins that list. He revealed that the song had the highest production cost in his film career and took nearly six months to finalize the tune. He thanked producer Manjunath Kandakur for supporting the production without compromises. He wrote the Kannada lyrics for the song and added that the remaining songs will also be released soon. The team plans to release the film in theatres in October.
Actress Manisha Kandakur said she is originally from Karnataka, and Brat is her debut Kannada film. She plays a middle-class girl named Manisha in the film and shared that Naanē Nīnante… is her favorite song from the project.
