With the Yellow Line Metro opening to the public, BMTC will roll out multiple feeder routes linking key metro stations to surrounding IT and residential hubs.
Bengaluru’s much-awaited Yellow Line Metro will be open to the public from Monday, August 11, 2025. To ensure commuters can reach metro stations easily and travel onwards without difficulty, BMTCis launching dedicated feeder bus services from the same day.
These feeder buses will provide last-mile connectivity between Yellow Line stations and important residential and IT hub areas such as Electronic City, Bommasandra, Hebbagodi, and Kodathi.

Why This Matters for Commuters
The Yellow Line connects RV Road to Bommasandra, linking Bengaluru’s IT hub in the south to the city centre. While the metro reduces travel time, many stations are located a short distance from offices, homes, or bus terminals. Feeder buses bridge this gap, ensuring faster, safer, and more convenient travel.
